Podium and e-Poster Abstract submission guidelines


The work needs to be scheduled for 8 minutes presentation followed by 2 minutes discussion or 10 minutes discussion at the end of all presentations. The podium presentations will be scheduled by topics in separated sessions in group of 5 presentations.

Format

  • Abstracts should be submitted in English.
  • The maximum length of abstract is 2500 characters in length including spaces, with a title of up to 150 characters.
  • Do NOT use all upper-case letters when entering your abstract
  • The abstract's title or authors' names/institutions must NOT be inserted in the 'Content' field.
  • No graphs, tables, photographs, or slide presentations are accepted.
  • The following structure should be followed:
    - Title
    - Author’s Names, Emails and affiliations
    - Introduction/Background
    - Methods
    - Results
    - Conclusions
    - Acknowledgements

Required Elements

  • Title
  • The abstract title should be concise and clearly convey the subject of the abstract.
  • Maximum length: 150 characters, including spaces.
  • Style: Titles should be in all upper case letters
  • Author's Names
  • These names will appear below the title. The name of the presenting author will appear in bold. Up to 5 co-Authors may be included on each abstract.
  • Compulsory Fields
    1. Background: Briefly and clearly describe the hypothesis of the study. Why was the study conducted?
    2. Methods: Detail the experimental methods and processes employed in the study. What did you do?
    3. Results: Describe the precise findings of the study; promises of results “to be determined” are not acceptable. Describe what you found and include data.
    4. Conclusions: Describe logically sound conclusions and reliable inferences drawn from the study results. Why are the study’s findings important.
    5. Acknowledgement : Please acknowledge all conflict of interest you have or if you do not have any, please state accordingly at the end of the abstract and at the first slide of your presentation.
  • Trade names should not be used in abstracts.
  • Please spell check your abstract prior to submission
  • After submitting your abstract, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail (please make sure to state your correct e-mail address). Should you wish to make corrections to an abstract already submitted or if you wish to submit other abstracts later, you may use your personal access codes.
  • Corrections to abstracts can only be made up to the abstract submission deadline of 27 January 2017.

Authors

  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Review Committee and notice of abstract acceptance or rejection will be e-mailed to the submitting author by 28 February 2017.
  • Submission of an abstract implies that the presenting author will register for and attend the Congress to present the abstract either as an oral presentation or as an e-poster if it is accepted.
  • All presenters must furnish necessary disclosure information concerning potential conflicts of interest at the first slide and must agree to have the course audio or video-recorded for future re-broadcast. All presentations must be submitted for review prior to the conference.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the topic and the form of presentation (oral/e-poster) of the abstract or to reject it.
  • Each complete submission received in due date will be independently peer-reviewed for scientific clinical, and didactic quality.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or reject the presentations or to offer alternative to be presented elsewhere based on submissions.
